TUCKERS TACKLE TOURNAMENT RULES

 

1.Western cape public waters only 

2.Smallmouth bass only

3.Only Smallmouth Bass above 300 grams eligible for competition weighing

4.Scales have to be calibrated and have been validated at the following venues 

-Tuckers tackle 81 main rd diep river cape town

-Tuckers tackle okavango junction okavango park

Kenwill dr, brakenfell, capetown

-The den 23 hoof st Clanwilliam Western Cape

5.Fish can be weighed any time between   6h00am 1st sept 2025 to 18h00 on the 30 th sept

 

6.App and Scale:

All fish must be logged through the Keepnet App using a verified, Keepnet-branded scale. 

Catch & Release:

7.Livebait is forbidden, and all caught fish must be healthy and released back into the water after being filmed. 

8.Video Submission:

Each catch requires a video showing:

The scale being zeroed with the lip-grip hanging. 

The fish being weighed without any manipulation. 

The paused weight of the fish. 

A healthy release of the fish. 

9.Lure Restrictions:

Only artificial lures and traditional artificial baits are permitted. 

Fishing Location:

Tournaments typically allow fishing in any public waters in South Africa, but specific competitions may have different rules. 

10.Fish Welfare:

Anglers are responsible for the health of their fish, with penalties for mistreatment or dead/mutilated fish. 

11.App Specifics:

The Keepnet App will automatically select the best fish (e.g., the top 5 by weight), and anglers may not keep more than the specified number of fish in their livewells at any time.
