Big Dog Bash Flathead Fishing Competition 2023

  • Only fishing in designated areas (map provided on registration)
  • Catch and release
  • Only fish over 36 cm will be counted towards your score
  • Landscape photo of fish on brag mat with token next to it, submitted through the app
  • Photo must be clear with measurement easily identifiable
  • Can only win longest flathead, second longest, or total aggregate 
  • All submissions must be sent before 12:00 pm, no exceptions. 
  • On registration you agree to adhere to all Maritime and Marine laws
  • Please obey parking instruction for briefing and presentation
  • Any rule found to be broken will result in disqualification
  • Participants must be present at presentation to receive their place
  • Briefing and registration starts at 5:30 am - this is where you will collect the token for the day
  • Remember, this is a fun, social fishing competition so keep it friendly :)

  • By entering and competing in the event you agree to the following terms and conditions
  • I understand this is an amateur competition and agree to adhere to the rules of the competition
  • I understand that if I do not comply with the rules and terms of this document, that I will be disqualified, and any title or prize won will be withdrawn
  • I agree to follow and adhere to all maritime and fishery rules and regulations
  • I agree to hold a valid fishing license on me for the duration of the competition
  • I agree that only those who hold a valid boating license will operate a boat adhering to maritime laws
  • I understand that any children under the age of 12 are my responsibility
  • I understand that the Big Dog Bash and the organizers are not responsible for my safety and I take full responsibility for my safety, and the safety of those in my care
  • I understand that this is a catch and release competition and that the keeping of fish is not required for any aspect of this competition
  • I understand all submissions must be in by 12pm otherwise they cannot be counted
